I was not planning to post again and look what you made me do. :)
Just for you I will delurk for the last time because I think you deserve a birthday post. For me you will always be the vocal point of the Prison Break fandom. Your magical stories, your sqeeing and love for the characters (and actors who played them) was what drawn me to this corner of the fandom and I am still here, somehow, and I blame you.
Last year was a sad one for you, both in RL and in fandom life so now I demand a great one. *stomps food*

What do you do after investing in a show for 3.5 years in a way that it is no longer casual viewing, but takes over your heart and brain, and it is over? Even worse; what do you when that show kicks your ass in killing your beloved lead and thus the way you look back at the show forever? It is hard to get closure, very hard but you have no choice. Mourning is a very broad term which is usually associated with the loss of a loved one but mourning is also saying goodbye and finding ways to move on when a door closes and we all have to deal with that many times in life. The key is to find closure and try to leave the negative behind and focus on the good but in this case that is almost impossible.
In many regards I am not the typical fangirl. I prefer lurking, I don't write fic, I read almost no fic and I am not artistic enough to make art. The things I am good at is finding stuff, have an opinion about everything and go on about it. This show has been a part of my life for a very long time and weird as it sounds I AM mourning it. I have a happy RL but I miss my show to turn to when I need to relax and escape.

I am a bit sad writing this but it is what it is. It has been a fun ride. I am not completely gone and I will comment once in a while. If Went and SWC finally decide to come out as an item I will be all over it but I am sure that some peeps will be starting a community right away when that happens. LOL

I did the MOview for 4.20/ Cowboys and Indians on the day the BIG spoiler was confirmed and we basicaly knew that there was no hope anymore. Because there was a feeling of devastation, and not only by me, I decided not to post it but because I already written it and I want to get some closure and completion I put it up anyway. It is very hard looking at all the pics and I had to delete my hopefull pathetic I think it is a fake-out stuff and keep the faith girls. Also looking at the story again when there was still hope is heartbreaking but I obviously like to torture myself so there you go.
I keep the comments on, but I don't expect someone to read it so let alone comment so don't feel obligated, but just in case, it is here.

It was my birthday nearly two months ago and yesterday my present from scribblecat finally arrived. LOL

It took more than two months to get here and at one point we almost gave up hope. I didn't know that it would be Went she was sending me and now it all makes sense because I am sure that the delay had nothing to do with shipping it by rowboat but everything to do with fangirls kidnapping him so I think it is a miracle that he is now sitting here in front of me, unharmed, 'blue steeling' me.

I can not tell how happy I am with this little gem, especially because he HAS HIS LIFEJACKET ON and a pointy finger. OMG!!! He brought a change of clothes with him so I can put the blue T-shirt, I adore so much, *waves to fellow t-shirt fan, Msgen* on him. *flails*
Look at those adorkable brown shoes and he also brought his avatar and book.
I can also dress him up as my darling Michael and I can even make a Nate out of him, though he needs more hair for that.

Scribbles, you are just amazing and this great gift moved me very much and I can not stop grinning about it. I was just speechless when I opened it and it is extra special because YOU made this yourself and I am so relieved that it turned up, eventually.

When I write this, news from the Upfronts is spreading about the new TV fall season, without Prison Break of course. So it is a year ago that I got out of bed in the middle of the night to see the pics of SWC on her first public appearance after HIAB. I was so happy that she was back and now I am so sad and I am thinking maybe it would have been better if she never came back. I love her so much and and I enjoyed all of her acting moments the last season, with as highlight her last scene with Michael but to make things worse, today I read this:

How would have the storyline gone if not a strike?

The Man:
i'm not actually sure what direction the show would have taken if there had been no writers strike. I am pretty sure that Sara would not have come back though. I think Michael still would have died, since the ultimate ending of the show was decided a long time ago and they always planned to stick with their original ending idea.
Without the strike we may have seen the introduction of different characters and the way the show reached its ending may have been different.

According to Matt O and this, Michaels death was already planned a long time ago and Sara was never supposed to come back, so I can't help thinking I could have coped with this all a bit better if it was at the end of a revenge spree and save the world than now leaving Sara behind on her own because I can not cope with that. It is like her coming back twisting the knife in a how-can-we-make-this-ending-even-more-horrible kind of way.

I want to give a big hug to scribblecat and msgenevieve. Who know how I feel and that comforts me. It has been like deja vu because we did the same thing during HIAB and we also have been so very happy when Sara came back or there was sqeeing to be done. I am one to retreat but they make me talk and hanging on and that is good.

I am sure I will have something to say after the two extra episodes.

I am a bit late but RL came between me and my show. *grrr* Also the fact that so many people were angry and disappointed kept me from posting sooner because I loved it so much. I decided that I still wanted to tell why, even if I am maybe in the minority.

Lets start.
WOW, just wow.

This was again one of those I-am-spoiled-but-I-know-nothing kind of episode. They are really good at hiding stuff if they want to. There was so little known about this episode that I was afraid that it was going to be boring and a sort of in between one.

Wentworth Miller in China 21/04/2009 A date with LuYu

While you shallow fangirls were all drooling over certain pictures OMG the way he pulls his t shirt down I saw a fan taping of an interview this week and though I normally don't like talkshow interviews and it took me a whole day to decide if I would watch it, it was wonderful. There were good questions and the host was very well informed and Wentworth was quite chatty, funny and relaxed and I was presently surprised that he was so positive about PB and the character he has been playing for so long. Wentworth always spoke with so much love and compassion about his alter ego but the last couple of months he was very quiet about that. I saw a lot of people speculating that he was over it but I never really believed that because he put so much of himself in Michael. I rather think he was fed up with the politics of the show.
He also talked about his future as a storyteller in wanting to be a writer, director and actor. So that makes me look forward to the future and softens the blow of the end of Prison Break a bit, because I know I will follow his career with much interest and I can not wait to see him in another parts.

Vs to was totally mind blowing and I was spoiled about mini Scofield but still surprised at how it all came about. I thought the pace and the balance of the episode was great and there was so much stuff cramped in, but it never felt rushed.

I can not believe we all made it again. For me it has been 3 years, 6 long hiatuses, lots of dl crises or not, squeeing, anticipating, being angry, flailing, worried, sad, hopeful, caught up in this obsession, making awesome friends, irritated by bitter people who bitch about PB whenever possible, totally overwhelmed by the craziness and determination of trolls but most of all being HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY.
It is the last couple of weeks so lets enjoy it and focus on what we love about this show and think about the fact that more than a year ago we all thought the last season was going to be all about revenge and bitterness. I feel sad that it is over soon but I will push that away because I want to soak it up and on top of that we got two extra episodes that I think are going to be awesome.

On a personal note, the airing of the show is at the worst time possible for me because I work all weekend so I have to watch it very early Saturday morning (and hope for a good dl) before I leave but I will try to do the MOview as soon as possible but it will be a bit later and if it is too much hassle I will stop doing it.
I have arranged that on the last TV airing episodes I can take the day off so it is a relief to me that I can be at home for the finale and fall apart in peace. YAY for that. I could not join the 'live' rewatch on Amy's LJ like some of you girls did, but I peeked in from work and it looked like a lot of fun so I will try to make it on Monday.
I hope for good times, lot of fic RPF *pokes * and as I said before I want the bros, Sara, LJ and Sucre in one piece and breathing at he end.

I loved it and thought the pace was good and there were a couple of nice twists and turns and I wish it was next week.
Went is in China again and will be live on TV (20.30 local time) to launch some very fast car which I am not really interested in but I love to see him so I will be watching.

We are getting promos and press releases so it is getting more exciting but there is also confusion about the schedule again. *facepalms* The double episode is apparently not 4.17 and 4.18 but it seems to be 4.16 and 4.17 and they will end the season (15/5) with 4.21 and 4.22 together but still no definite news on the last two extra ones. The DVD is coming out and it is not sure if they are on the last disc or not but according to different sources they are on the UK one for sure. As always lots of uncertainty with this show but if it is like this that means we will see the episode after the finale if a nice UK fan is good enough to make it available for us all. YES!!!! *BEGS* No comments from Went or SWC but to be honest I never expected it. It is a shame though.

TWO WEEKS!!!
This hiatus was almost as long as the summer ones and I though THEY were never ending. This is really ridiculous scheduling and IMO it is not good for a show to do that. I think a month is the max on that.
Exactly one year ago today I took a paid account. I joined the year before to comment but after the Reheading I wanted to stay on LJ longer. I had to decide this week if I wanted to pay for another year and I decided to do so because I don't want to loose my icons and I think we can still be talking about this for a couple of months so I guess you are stuck with me a little longer. They gave me 5 extra icons so YAH!!!!!!



wrldpossibility is trying to arrange a schedule so we can all rewatch the new episodes together. Good luck Amy and I hope it works out that we all can join in somehow.

Only less than four weeks to go so that is doable. I wonder if there is going to be any publicity seeing that some of the actors already have other jobs. I was trying to find out about Went's new film role but so far no luck. I am curious as hell though.

Finally she is finding folk similar to herself - people unable to concentrate upon real life scenarios, all ages, bored with daily endeavours and monotonous chores, being engulfed by the writing, dialogue and fascinating innuendo of Sapphire

I am reading rosie_spleen's fabulous Fangirls, as I am sure a lot of you are doing, and I love the way she describes the birth of an obsession we all know too well; the lure of the computer and wanted to get out of RL appointments and responsibilities to delve into the magical world of fandom.
I could lose myself all evening and even cancelled *hangs head in shame* RL stuff/ people or alter my plans to sit with my eyes glued to the computer and get sucked in more. The way she describes the transition from just watching a great show, becoming intrigued and then diving for the first time into the googling world and finding like-minded people, it is like reading my own journey and at that point there was no way back.

Grace is relieved. She is not alone in her illness, and there are others around the globe blurring their own lines of reality too

Like I told you Rose, it is a great document and as always done in your unique and wonderful writing style for all us crazy Fangirls out there and though it is fiction we all know it was based on this fandom so thank you so much for writing this. I will treasure it and it is on the PB altar together with my scribblekitten art and DVD's.

SWC in Dallas news 18/09/2006

Last Friday was the last day of shooting *swallows* and the thought that Went and Sarah will never be Michael and Sara again is very hard and I will miss the checking out casting calls, scripts, and shooting locations because I am sure I will never do that again, for any show. This will be a goodbye in stages and when this is all over it will be like I lost a very dear friend. I also think that in a masochistic kind of way the sadness is a beautiful precious kind of sadness, the one you want to hang on to and not move on from. It is all so very bittersweet.
I wonder what it would be like for the actors? Can you imagine that a character has been your alter ego for so long, that must be hard to shake off. In interviews Wentworth always told us that he is very invested in the character of Michael and he thinks about 'him' all the time so I wonder how it is to lose that, especially because I suspect there is a lot of Wentworth in Michael. I can see him going through a mourning period for that. If we as fans having so much difficulty letting go I wonder how hard it will be for the actors?
Went is in China to make some money again and I don't blame him because it no doubt gives him the independence to work on his own projects and be more selective when it comes to scripts. According to the Chinese media he is going to play in a small independent movie soon *dances* and maybe a stage play later this year. I also hope for some pics and interviews to tell us how heartbroken he is now, no longer working with his BFF to lift my spirit.
SWC also has a new part in a small Canadian movie and though I am happy for them that they both scored new parts so soon, because I wish them nothing but great things, it makes me a bit sad that they are moving on. Again it is all very bittersweet.
I wonder when the wrap party is? Maybe when Prison Break is back on TV.

"there is indeed two extra episodes in this season. It will be a relatively independent prison break story. I (Michael) will face the most severe challenge. I can't give away much, but shooting two extra episode is for all PB fans, for their support of four years.

The politics of PB reared it's ugly head again this week when we had some uplifting scheduling news. Apparently there is some internal struggle going on between the production company FOX and the network FOX and of course it is about money. *facepalms* The reason that PB is now on Friday nights is because FOX network didn't want PB anymore because of the lower ratings but the production company makes money from selling it abroad and the DVD sale, so wanted to go ahead. The two last episode are not going to air on US TV, it seems, but I am not worried because they already made them so we will see them one way or another. I can not tell you how sick FOX makes me and I can't blame Wentworth for wanting to move on from this and I now understand his grumpiness more in a recent interview. There is no love for this show anymore and even now that it is nearly done the network seem to want to get it over and done with quickly.
I looooove spoilers and I never ever regretted being spoiled (not after PB airs on TV though) and the anticipation and trying to piece together what will happen, preferably with others, is one of my fav things to do in fandom. Also I would never have wanted the shadow of a character might be dying during a season hanging over it. However, the behind-the-scene-stuff like the ratings, writers, TPTB I could have done without for the last 2 years.

For me this writing is very therapeutic and I realise it is kind of weird multi layered because I write this at the moment that the production of the show is just over, about the rewatch of S2, that I did this summer before S4 started. I always like to complicate stuff. LOL
